Anuhea St.Laurent

Aloha

My name is Anuheaonāmailelauliʻi, but I go by Anuhea (Ah-noo-hay-ah.) My name means, “the cool upland fragrance of the small leaf Maile,” which is a beautiful vine and also my Tūtū’s (grandma’s) name.

⁣⁣

I’m half Hawaiian, half Haole (Caucasian), from Kāneʻohe, Oʻahu and currently reside on the island of Hawaiʻi with my husband and three keiki (children).

⁣⁣

I played volleyball in college for the University of Delaware and our mascot was a fighting blue hen, lol (intimidating, huh?).⁣

⁣⁣

I’m obsessed with skateboarding, surfing, rainbows, plants, crystals, shave ice, Joanna Gaines, and all the Duggar kids from 19 Kids and Counting🤣.⁣

⁣⁣

I’m a Counselor by trade who specializes in Marriage & Family Therapy and Financial Education, but after having kids left the 9-5 life to prioritize my family.⁣

“Anuhea does a great job. She really has a gift in helping others see their full potential. ~Jonelle

My story

Despite studying psychology since 2003 and working in the mental health field for over 15 years, I felt I lost parts of myself and identity somewhere between 2 & 3 kids, which led me to dig deep into my own personal development, health and wellbeing journey.  I discovered two critical problems...

⁣⁣

First, I became overwhelmed quickly by the amount of information and advice that bombarded me online; Thousands of “experts, influencers, coaches, specialists, etc.” With every scroll I seemed to feel more and more disconnected and misaligned from my own intuition.  It also made me feel more self-conscious, inadequate, and disempowered regarding my health and wellbeing.

Second, of the legitimate programs I did find, by actual qualified experts, the vast majority of them seemed to only focus on one or two specific areas of self-development exclusively.  We are all complex beings and each aspect of our health affects the other.  With little time, energy, and money to devote to myself as a mom of multiple little ones, it felt nearly impossible to “balance” life when every aspect seemed to be of equal and urgent priority.

Mindfulness coaching

I was able to assess my personal challenges as well as those of other moms through a personal lens and professional lens. I came to understand two viable solutions;

One, there is a dire need for women, especially mothers, better understand their wellbeing holistically, across every aspect of health.

And two, mothers become incredibly empowered and better equipped to cultivate optimal holistic health and wellbeing when they are taught mindfulness; Specifically, when they learn to manage their thoughts, emotions, and behavior.

I’m super passionate about helping other mindful mamas like you transform health and wellbeing holistically through a psychology-based lens.

In my simplest form I am an imperfect human just like you.  I humbly share as a #NoteToSelf which provides accountability for my own personal development and hopefully, guides you to live more intuitively, with greater abundance and ease.

⁣⁣

I am so honored and thankful we can make meaningful connections online.  At a time where things are so uncertain, I’ve never been so sure that mindfully transforming ourselves and families in our homes is the answer to many challenges of today’s world.

Working with Anuhea was an awesome experience. I've gained happiness from putting the things I learned from her into practice, for myself and my family.  ~S.H.
